Media Submission Rules: Photos & Videos

Media submissions carry the highest risk of privacy violations and harm. r/HEM_NSFW maintains strict standards to protect everyone involved. These standards apply to all media, with special emphasis on any photo or video showing a provider in a sexual context. Submissions that do not meet these standards will be removed.

Clear, verifiable consent is mandatory. There are no exceptions.

• We prefer that every photo or video in which a person appears includes a physical, handwritten consent sign that is clearly visible and legible.

• Recommended wording: “I consent to this being posted on Reddit.”

• Accepted formats: paper, whiteboard, LCD writing tablet, or a phone/tablet screen with handwritten text. Typed text, printed fonts, and digitally added overlays are not permitted.

• The sign must be held by the person appearing or placed visibly on or near them.

• We prefer that the handwritten consent sign appears clearly somewhere in the video.

• Videos must be one continuous, unedited take from start to finish. Host videos exclusively on RedGIFs.

Moderators will remove any media if there is reason to believe the person shown was unaware or did not consent, if the consent sign appears edited or staged, or if consent cannot be reasonably verified. Media that appears covert, hidden-camera, or non-consensual will result in an immediate and permanent ban.

You are responsible for protecting the identity and privacy of everyone shown in your media.

Blur or crop all faces. Check mirrors, windows, televisions, and other reflective surfaces. Do not show signage, addresses, room numbers, business names, or exterior views that could identify a location.

Failure to adequately protect anonymity is a serious violation.

Videos must be hosted exclusively on RedGIFs and must be a single continuous unedited take. Apply any privacy blurring to the original recording before export. The consent sign, when used, must appear clearly within that continuous take.

The following types of media are not allowed:

• Commercial, promotional, or studio-produced content
• Content with watermarks, QR codes, or links directing users off Reddit
• Reposts, leaks, or media recorded by anyone other than the poster
• Media that reveals the location or identity of any person or business
• Dick pics or close-up photos or videos of male genitalia

All media submissions are subject to manual review. Approval is not guaranteed. Moderators evaluate submissions for consent, privacy protection, authenticity, and compliance with these standards. Posts that fail to meet the requirements will be removed. Serious or repeated violations may result in posting restrictions or a ban.
